About the Kelso Limestone Fireplace

The Kelso is made to order in your choice of limestone finish, with the surround and hearth detail agreed around your room and fire.

We cut and finish every fireplace ourselves and fit it locally, which is why buying direct usually costs less than a standard surround from a chain. Ask us for a made-to-measure quote.

Planning the Kelso Limestone Fireplace

A limestone fireplace is not chosen as a loose product and then forced into the room. We look at the wall, opening, hearth, fire and stone together, then make the surround to measure in our own Midlands workshop.

If the exact size or technical sheet is not shown yet, we will confirm it from the supplier details before anything is ordered. For fireplaces, the important measurements are the chimney breast, opening, hearth depth and ceiling height. A room photo is often as useful as a tape measure because it shows skirting, flooring and furniture around the fireplace.

The listed finish detail is Semi Rijo, Antalya, Bateig. Samples and showroom checks are still useful, because colours change with room light and nearby materials. If you are comparing a few stones, bring flooring, paint or fabric samples to the Solihull showroom. A quieter limestone can suit a busier room, while a stronger natural marking needs enough space around it to feel intentional.

Fitting is planned before the stone is cut. We will talk through whether the fireplace is decorative, electric, gas or for another fire route, then agree the practical order of survey, making and fitting with you.
